TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL)-- Another COCA Connection, where we highlight arts and culture in the community. This week's edition focused on an upcoming concert in the capital city.
On Sunday, the Tallahassee Youth Orchestra, also known as the T-Y-O, will present the "Guest Artist Concert" at the Ruby Diamond Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m. The "Guest Artist Concert" is long-stand tradition of the T-Y-O.
Miriam Barfield, the Vice President of the Board of Directors, sat down with us to talk about the upcoming concert and her experience as a member of the T-Y-O.
Barfield started studying the violin at the young age of 6 and has now grown into a profession musician.
The concert provides significant funds to support the organization's mission of enriching the musical and creative lives of the young musician in our community.
If you would like to find out more about the concert, you can go to COCA's Website.
