TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Due to expected low overnight temperatures, the temporary cold night shelter will open the nights of Tuesday, January 21 through Thursday, January 23.
Any adult male who needs temporary shelter from cold weather should report to The Shelter at 480 West Tennessee Street and pre-register by 6:45 p.m. StarMetro will provide transportation between The Shelter and the temporary cold night shelter, which is the Jacob Chapel Baptist Church. No walk-ins at the temporary location will be allowed. StarMetro will do a return trip to The Shelter the following morning at 7:00 a.m.
Women and families with children will be allowed to stay at The Shelter, located at 480 West Tennessee Street.
