TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- Superheros lined up at the Integration Statue on FSU's campus to show support for our nation's troops and to raise money for the organization.
Camp Kesem FSU held its first annual Superhero Scramble Sunday.
Camp Kesem at Florida State University is a non-profit organization aimed at helping children with parents battling cancer. The group was founded in 2011 and offers Tallahassee children year-long peer support and a 1-week summer camp.
The development coordinator of the organization explained the uniqueness behind this year's theme.
"The event was superhero themed because we wanted the people participating to kind of feel like the kid's super heroes. Without this funding it's not possible to put on the camp.We also wanted to let the marine's know that we really appreciate them and that they are America's superhero," said Taylor Odom.
