TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- If you're looking to break in to the fashion world, listen up!

Local designer L. Allen is gearing up for an annual fashion show, and putting out a call for models.

This annual show is now in its 7th year. It features L. Allen original creations, as well as other designers, boutiques and stores.

This runway show also supports a good cause, the fight against breast cancer.

L. Allen started the fashion show while he was a fashion student at FSU, as a way to remember his godfather who passed away from the disease. Money raised will support the American Cancer Society.

This catwalk is welcome to beginners, and it has a great track record for those hoping to break into the business. Allen says eight women have gone on to sign with national modeling agencies, plus the former Miss Maine and the Miss America runner-up.

The model casting call is Sunday, January 10 from noon until 4 p.m. at  Krewe de Gras (1304 N. Monroe Street). The fashion show is Saturday, February 20.

Both experienced models and beginners are welcome, and it's open to men and women over 18.

Women should bring heels, and if you have one, bring a portfolio.
