TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Time to dust off those boots. The annual Boots For Babies is back.
This is the year's biggest fundraiser for Brehon Family Services, a local organization that helps pregnant, homeless youth and young at-risk families in the Big Bend.
Those involved say Brehon's maternity home has welcomed more than 300 homeless, pregnant women and children to Brehon House since 1992. According to organizers, $1 spent on prenatal care saves $3 in short-term hospital costs.
This event is the community's chance to support that work and help the group's mission succeed.
Boots For Babies is Friday, February 19 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Shiloh Farms (!500 Benjamin Chaires Road). Tickets are $75.
Festivities include a silent auction, live music, food and a bonfire.
