TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- September is National Prostate Health Month, and there's a special event this weekend to help raise awareness here locally.
Bond Community Health Center is hosting the inagural "The Soul Music CABARET in Blue" all to promote prostate cancer awareness.
According to the American Cancer Society, after skin cancer, prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men, but it can often be treated successfully. More than two-million men in the US count themselves as prostate cancer survivors.
Proceeds from will be used to give PSAs (test for prostate cancer), help with medications, and provide more educational workshops.
The event is Saturday, September 19. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. It's at the GFWC Women's Club of Tallahassee 1513 Cristobal Drive).

On Monday, all men are invited to a roundtable discussion with Dr. A. Carrion to get men informed, shared stories and join the awareness movement for prostate cancer.
That's Monday, September 21 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., in the second floor conference room of the Bond Community Health Center.
