TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- We turn now to the latest in the race for Tallahassee's next mayor.

Another candidate has filed his paperwork to run for mayor. Bob Lotane submitted his paper work at the Supervisor of Elections Office on Tuesday, May 30.

Lotane was the former Communications and Political Affairs Director for the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisers in the capital city.

He has served as Race Director for the capital area chapter of the Red Cross's Hurricane Run for the past 6 years.

Lotane says if elected one of his main goals would be to add more food options for the south side.

"I'm excited and I'm a little nervous, I've never done this before, I have worked around politics but actually being on this side of things is a little different so I'm a little nervous its brand new, but I'm very excited and looking forward to it," says Lotane.

Lotane joins army veteran and Florida State University student, Erik David, in the race to succeed current Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum.
