Blues Supporting Big Bend Hospice

Posted

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The blues are supporting Big Bend Hospice this weekend.

It's all for the seventh annual Pat Ramsey Memorial Big Bend Hospice Benefit.

Pat Ramsey was a well-known musician and blues singer. He died in November 2008, in the care of hospice. His family and friends say "this was his wish, to give back."

So combining support for Big Bend Hospice and the blues is the perfect way to remember his legacy.

This year, music will be held on the inside (Saw) stage, the outside (Oaks) stage, and later in the evening, around the bonfire (Fire) stage. A dozen bands will be playing over those three stages.

There's also a a silent auction and raffles. All proceeds are going to Big Bend Hospice in Pat Ramsey's name.

The seventh annual Pat Ramsey Memorial Big Bend Hospice Benefit is Saturday, October 3 from 2 p.m. until 1 a.m.

It's at the Bradfordville Blues Club (7152 Moses Lane). Cost is $20, but children under 12 are free. Overnight camping is an additional $5.
