TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Bear Creek Educational Forest is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and the Florida Forest Service is inviting you to the party!
Bear Creek Educational Forest takes over 492-acres in Lake Talquin State Forest. It's home to many different nature and environmental programs, plus other lessons, games and hands-on activities for students.
Organizers call the 10th anniversary party a "fantastic family day." There's a family fun run/walk, plus three different hikes throughout the day. There's also activity stations, educational resource exhibits, forest wagon rides, forest games, food and giveaways.
The Bear Creek Educational Forest 10 year anniversary celebration is Saturday, October 24, from 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Everything is at Bear Creek Educational Forest, which is five miles south of Quincy on County Road 267.
It's free to take part and all are invited.
