TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The Florida Highway Patrol say that at least one person has been hospitalized after four crashes on I-10 eastbound near mile-marker 199.
They said the crashes happened Tuesday morning.
The first crash happened approximately 6:52 a.m. The second crash happened around 7:25 a.m. Then another crash happened around the same time. FHP reported that the fourth crash happened about 30 minutes after the second and third.
They said that inclement weather was not a factor, though say the wet roads may have contributed to the crash.
Troopers explained that the area is a hot spot for crashes because of the location of the overpass and the general backup of traffic in that area.
One or more of the passengers in the car wrecks this morning were transported to a hospital. FHP says there were no serious injuries.
They said that charges are pending, including tickets for failing to use due care.
All roadways are now clear.
