TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) --  How about a little Bourbon Street right here in the Capital City!

The annual ArtiGras is back this weekend.

Organizers describe it as "an authentic family fest like no other in the region, celebrating the culture and arts of New Orleans in grand style."

Last year, more than 7,000 visitors, 150 musicians and performers, and 100 artists flooded Railroad Square.

Those involved say the New Orleans culture comes alive in this special setting, and that this year's festivities will be bigger and better than ever.

ArtiGras is Saturday, February 27 starting at 2 p.m. at Railroad Square.

All day activities include a kids zone; street performers; food vendors and even palm and tarot reading.

From 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., there's a scavenger hunt to collect beads and toys. That ends at 621 Gallery, where kids can make their masks.

The parade starts in front of the Gallery at 4:30 p.m. Playing in the parade are The Trashtronauts and Rhythm Rushers, the Caribbean Student Association, the Lofty Pursuits Marching Band, SAIL High School.

You're also invited to march with it. Last year, more than 1,000 people were part of the parade.

The family-friendly event continues after hours for anyone over 21. That's from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m.
