Clinton focuses on general, while Sanders sticks to script

Posted

OKLAHOMA CITY - In the wake of her blowout win in the South Carolina primary, Hillary Clinton is looking to the future, while Bernie Sanders seems stuck in the past.

During church visits in Memphis on Sunday, Clinton shed any references to her Democratic opponent, focusing her fire on Republican front-runner Donald Trump. Sanders, meanwhile, remained resolute in his message, offering his standard economic-focused speech to a massive crowd in Oklahoma City and making no mention of his South Carolina loss.

Less than forty-eight hours before the Super Tuesday voting contests, Hillary Clinton and her team are growing increasingly confident that they are on track to capture their party's nomination.

But Sanders says he is looking ahead to the Tuesday contests and beyond, expressing confidence that he can remain competitive.
