MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Four years of the required experience must have been in a supervisory capacity in a law enforcement agency. Visual ability must be correctable to 20/20 in each eye with normal color and depth perception.

Must possess Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) certifications: IS-700, IS-800, IS-100, IS-200, IS-300, and IS-400 at the time of appointment.

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT TECHNICIAN I
Must obtain an IMSA (International Municipal Signal Association) level I Traffic Signal Technician certificate within two years of initial employment and maintain this certification as a condition of continued employment.

Must possess a Class - B State Commercial Driver License at the time of appointment, or must have passed the appropriate written Class - B CDL test and obtained a Class - B CDL permit at the time of appointment and obtain the appropriate Class - B CDL licensure within 90 calendar days from date of employment as a condition for continued employment.

Must obtain the Florida Department of Transportation Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic certification within six months of initial employment and maintain this certification as a condition of continued employment.
