Christine Souders joined the news team in March 2016. You can find Christine at the Anchor desk every morning on WTXL's Sunrise.

Christine comes to us with years of experience in Vermont, Illinois and Wisconsin.

While spending two years as the Weekend Anchor and Reporter in Burlington, Vermont, Christine covered a wide range of national news stories, including the 2016 campaign trail for President, and a three week long manhunt for two convicted killers who escaped from a maximum security prison in Upstate New York.

Christine's true passion for journalism is telling stories of everyday people. When a tornado devastated an entire town in Washington, Illinois, Christine showed how communities came together to help their neighbors. She joined World War II Veterans on a trip to Washington D.C. and shared their personal accounts of defending their country in front of memorials in honor of them.

Christine is excited to be in Tallahassee.

Her family is nearby in Ft. Myers. She's also a first time pet owner of a dog named Snowflake. She encourages viewers to give her advice in that department.

She's always up for new adventure, so contact her with any tips of places to explore or events happening in your community. She's happy to hear from you on Facebook, Twitter and email; csouders@wtxl.tv.
