TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum is teaming up with the FAMU Small Development Center for the first Google Business Town Hall.
The Town Hall is part of the Let's Put Our Cities On the Map initiative.
The free program brings together local leaders and community members. The idea is helping small businesses use new technology and online resources to grow.
It's being rolled out in select cities across the country, including here in Tallahassee.
"In Tallahassee, the new economy that is taking shape demands small businesses to operate on an increasingly competitive national and even international stage," said Mayor Andrew Gillum. "This reality requires leaders to be smarter and more innovative in how they run their business, and I believe our partnership with Google helps to develop the kind of skills they need to compete, and win in the 21st Century," said Mayor Gillum in a release.
The Google Business Town Hall is Tuesday, November 30 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the American Red Cross Capital Area Chapter.
Space is limited and you need to register in advance. For more information, click here.
