BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL) — The new Taurus USA headquarters in Bainbridge is looking more like a facility than just a slab of concrete.

In February, the walls for the manufacturing building were able to be lifted into place, and support columns were added shortly after.

The slightly drier weather over the last few weeks has allowed crews to start working on the roof as well as the outdoor gun testing range.

The main headquarters and office area will begin to take shape in the next few weeks, weather permitting, of course.

The Taurus USA facility is still on track to be completed by this fall, with many individuals already looking to apply.

"We're being overwhelmed with people wanting the jobs. We're really not quite to the point where they're ready to start that process, but we will be doing that shortly," said Rick McCaskill, Executive Director of Development Authority of Bainbridge and Decatur County. "When we do, we'll reach out to all the surrounding communities, including Tallahassee, to try to get them the best employees we can get."

There will be about 300 positions to be filled in the factory.
