TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- A Tallahassee tax preparer could face more than 50 years in prison.
Kenneth Barber has been convicted on a long list of federal fraud charges tonight. It took the jury less than three hours to reach the verdict today in the Leon County Courthouse.
Investigators say Barber and his company, KLB Group Developers, filed fraudulent tax returns and taught others to do the same between 2006 and 2010.
Barber is convicted of wire fraud, preparing false tax returns, making a false statement to a bank, and conspiracy to commit tax fraud.
His sentencing is scheduled for June 26th.
