TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (BOUNCE) – The rankings for county health have been released for the state of Florida and the numbers may surprise you.
Leon County is listed as the 8th healthiest county in Florida but many surrounding counties are ranked much lower.
We spoke with officials from the Florida Department of Health and they said things like obesity levels, teen birth rates, and child poverty levels are topping the list for reasons why certain counties rank lower than others.
