TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (TFD)-- Eight people are displaced tonight after a house fire in Tallahassee. According to the Tallahassee Fire Department, units from Stations 1 and 3 were called to a kitchen fire located at Tartary Drive. Upon arrival firefighters found black smoke coming from the doors and windows of the house. Firefighters made their way into the house and put out the fire that was located in the kitchen. The cause of the fire was determined to be unattended cooking.
The Red Cross is assisting the eight people affected by the fire.
