Alexis Borochoff is a different type of artist. She is hearing impaired.
Born in New York and later relocating to Orlando, Alexis found comfort in animals, literature and art. She used her love for all of these things and put them together to create portraits of animals inhuman situations.
"I love animals. A lot of my paintings were inspired by vintage photographs. I would see an image and look at it for a while and go from there", she said.
