Arrest made in bomb threat incident at Tift County High School

TIFT COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) — An arrest has been made after students at Tift County High School had to be evacuated when the school received a bomb threat Friday morning.

The Tifton Police Department said an arrest has been made and the case is still being investigated at this time.

Due to the pending investigation, Tifton Police said they can not release any further information.

Students at Tift County High School have been evacuated after the school received a bomb threat Friday morning.

In a Facebook post , Tift County Public Schools said "The safety and security of our students is of the utmost importance. No students will be dismissed from the evacuation site. More information will be provided once we receive an all clear."

Officials say all students are safe and law enforcement is currently on scene investigating the threat.
