The Ukraine International Airlines plane, bound for Kiev, went down during early Wednesday morning, shortly after take-off. All those on board were killed, says Iran's state run press TV.
Iran's semi-official news agency reported the crash was due to technical difficulties.
Flight-tracking service Flight Radar 24 said in a tweet that the jet had been in service for about three and a half years.
