JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a 10-year-old girl who was taken to the hospital following a near-drowning at a Jacksonville hotel has died.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Cmdr. Chuck Mulligan says Raven Malden of Pensacola was swimming at the Hilton Garden Inn pool late Saturday night with three young family members. At some point she went underwater.

The Florida Times Union (http://bit.ly/2c7ELLy ) reports two of the other children tried to pull her from the pool while the other child went to get help.

Officials say witnesses were trying to resuscitate Malden when deputies arrived. Deputies and paramedics performed CPR and she was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Authorities learned Monday that she didn't survive.
