Tallahassee, Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida Highway Patrol reports a fatal accident on I-10 near mile marker 70.
An early morning head-on collision led to a fatality in Walton county Tuesday.
The 1 a.m. incident involved three individuals and two vehicles at mile marker 70 on I-10.
Accoring to a witness, Marlaina Phillips, 24, driver of a 2006 Dog Sprinter swerved to avoid hitting a 2008 HHR Chevy when the two collided.
Chevy driver Leroy Allemond, 64, did not survive the crash.
Phillips was transported to Fort Walton Beach Medical with serious injuries. Her passenger, Alexandra Parsons, 27, suffered minor injuries.
No drugs or alcohol were involved.
