Tropical Depression
As of Tuesday morning, EST, a tropical depression is located about 75 miles southwest of Kosrae Island. Highest sustained winds are near 35 mph with movement to the west at 10 mph. A favorable
developmental environment will allow this depression to grow into a tropical storm within the next day or so with movement mainly toward the west. After midweek, a turn to the northwest is forecast,
potentially steering a tropical storm close to Guam.
Southern Pacific:
