The Nation's Weather for Sunday, February 3, 2019
—————
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Today will turn out milder across the Northeast with
temperatures reaching into the 40s for many across the
mid-Atlantic, New York and southern New England. The ground
remains frozen, however, meaning light rainfall expected in
New York and Pennsylvania will freeze and create slippery
conditions. Similarly icy conditions are expected to unfold
across the upper Great Lakes region as well. There will be
some drizzle in the Plains and rain and rumbles of thunder
in the Southeast, but the central and eastern U.S. will
otherwise be dry and mild. Rain and snow showers will impact
the stretch of the Rockies with heavy snow expected across
the northern High Plains. A windy, chilly storm will slam
the West Coast, inundating the region with more heavy rain
and mountain snow.
