NATIONAL SUMMARY
A batch of rain will extend from southeastern Virginia to
the eastern part of the Carolinas, southern Georgia and the
central Gulf coast today. A narrow zone of wet snow and a
wintry mix will exit part of the mid-Atlantic coast. Most
areas from Texas to Michigan and Maine can expect a dry day.
Farther west, the next batch of snow will extend from parts
of Idaho, Wyoming and Montana to South Dakota and Nebraska
during the day, then across the middle Mississippi Valley
and into the northern part of the Ohio Valley states at
night. Lesser snow showers will occur over the upper part of
the Great Basin with a batch of snow for the Colorado
Rockies. While much of the deserts will be free of rain,
chilly rain showers and mountain snow are forecast to fall
along the Pacific coast.
