NATIONAL SUMMARY

A major winter storm will bring heavy snow from the Upper

of flooding from the Ohio Valley and mid-Atlantic region to

the central Gulf Coast with lesser showers over the

southeastern corner of the nation. A zone of heavy ice is in

store from part of the central Great Lakes to the central

Appalachians and interior Northeast. Enough ice can accrue

to cause widespread power outages in some locations. Dry air
