SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) - The Florida Highway Patrol says seven special needs students are recovering after the school bus they were riding on was involved in a crash.
The bus collided with a car before hitting a traffic control device pole in Sarasota on Tuesday morning.
Troopers say the bus was carrying 12 students from Oak Park School. The report says a car turned in front of the bus about 9:15 a.m.
The report says seven students were taken to hospitals. The bus driver, an aide, and two people in the car were also taken to hospitals.
Troopers say the injuries were not considered life-threatening.
