PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say they don't know why a Florida Panhandle woman fatally stabbed her 18-year-old son and critically injured her 24-year-old daughter.
Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan tells the Pensacola News Journal (http://on.pnj.com/2keH9AJ ) two younger children - ages 4 and 5 - witnessed the incident, which happened Tuesday morning. The children are being cared for by other family members.
Morgan says investigators are treating the death as a domestic violence incident. But so far no motive has been found.
He says the woman is 45-year-old.
The identities of the family members haven't been released. No charges have been filed.
