SARASOTA CO., Fla. (WWSB) -- A Sexual Offender has registered in Sarasota County, according to the Sheriff's Office.
David Paul Curtiss, 56, has listed his residence as 5500 Verna Road in Sarasota. He was convicted of Rape and Indecent Assault and Battery in Massachusetts in 1993.
He also failed to meet sex offender registration requirements in 2010, 2011 and 2012, and was sentenced to an additional five years in prison.
Curtiss just moved from Pinellas County and is not currently under the supervision of the Department of Corrections. Because he was originally convicted prior to 2004, residency restrictions do not apply.
