DULUTH, Ga. (AP) - Police say an armed robbery attempt led to a gun battle between two men, leaving both of them shot to death in Atlanta's northeastern suburbs.
Gwinnett County police say a man with a gun approached a man and woman and tried to rob them as they left the Time Internet Café near Duluth late Monday night.
Police say the man leaving the café drew his own handgun, and the two began shooting at each other.
The man targeted in the robbery was shot and collapsed on the sidewalk.
Police say the gunman who had attempted to rob him was also shot, but managed to get inside a car driven by a female. She drove to a nearby McDonald's and called 911, saying her boyfriend had been shot. He later died.
