ATLANTA, GA. (AP) - Police say they're investigating a robbery at a home in the neighborhood where Atlanta's mayor lives.
WSB-TV reports that two people inside the home were hurt after a group of men stormed the house early Wednesday morning, stole their car and beat them with guns.
Atlanta Police Capt. Celeste Murphy tells CBS46 News that the assailants struck the residents on the back of the head with a gun.
Police say the crime happened in the same subdivision where Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed lives.
Police say the occupants of the home were upstairs when three suspects with their faces covered confronted them. The victims told officers the suspects took their credit cards, checkbook, and got away by stealing their car, leaving tire tracks in the front yard.
