MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) - Police say the remains found at the bottom of a Cobb County ravine are those of Marietta woman who went missing two months ago.
News agencies report that Cobb police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce confirmed Monday that the remains discovered on Friday in a car at the bottom of a ravine were those of 58-year-old Charlene Baggette.
Pierce says the medical examiner's office identified her through dental records.
Baggette went missing June 23. Preliminary information indicates she was driving when she left the road and hit trees, entering a wooded area off the road.
Pierce says no foul play is suspected in her death, and there's no evidence other cars were involved in the crash.
