ATLANTA, GA. (AP) - Authorities say four people convicted of sex trafficking three girls during the 2013 NCAA Final Four held in Atlanta have been sentenced to prison time.
U. S. Attorney John Horn says the group recruited the girls ranging from 15 to 17 years old and posted photos in online advertisements then drove them to "sex-dates" at hotels.
Authorities say an FBI undercover operation timed to coincide with the basketball event uncovered the group.
Officials say the prison sentences are 11 years, seven months to 27-year-old Isaiah Jernigan; 10 years, three months to 28-year-old Darren Williamson, Jr.; six years to 27-year-old Marie St. Vil and five years to 26-year-old Brianne Marceline.
All four will be required to register as sex offenders when released.
