SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department Violent Crimes detectives are investigating the shooting of two women at an intersection.
Police say the shooting happened as the women drove along Jefferson Street near West 32nd Street on Saturday around 8 p.m.
Police say they responded to the intersection of Victory Drive and Barnard Street where they found the victims inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to Memorial University Medical Center. One woman was treated and released. The other woman remains in extreme critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
Police say the shooting is not a random crime and that they are withholding the names of the victims for investigative purposes.
