BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Two men are recovering from gunshot wounds after police say someone fired dozens of shots into the air in Palm Beach County.

In a news release, Boynton Beach police said 25-year-old Julio Felix was sitting on his front porch Monday night when he heard gunshots. He went inside and realized he'd been shot in the buttocks. He was treated for injuries considered not life-threatening.

Later police were called to the hospital where 32-year-old Emanuel Austin was being treated for a stomach wound. He told authorities he heard shooting and started running. He said he felt a pain in his stomach but kept running. His girlfriend took him to the hospital.

An investigation continues.

Authorities say a Boynton Beach woman was injured by shots fired into the air on July 4.
