MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) - A judge has approved six more jurors for the jury pool for a trial to decide the fate of a Georgia man accused of intentionally leaving his toddler son to die in a hot SUV.

WSB-TV reports that Judge Mary Staley on Thursday brought the total jury pool so far to 26. She also dropped one potential juror from a day earlier. There was a pool of 250 potential jurors initially summoned.

Thirty-five-year-old Justin Ross Harris faces charges including murder in the June 2014 death of his 22-month-old son, Cooper.

Cobb County prosecutors have said Harris was unhappily married and was looking for an escape.

Defense attorneys say their client was a loving father and that the death was a tragic mistake.
