Meeting scheduled in Leon County to address opioid epidemic

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A discussion about the growing opioid epidemic and ways to end is scheduled to take place Monday night.

City leaders along with local law enforcement are inviting the public to join the conversation.

The meeting will allow elected officials to hear from the community in an effort to pass laws that cater to Tallahassee's specific needs regarding the opioid epidemic.

State senators and representatives want to hear what the community thinks about the opioid epidemic. The meeting is happening at the Leroy Collins Public Library.
