JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A Jacksonville man has been sentenced to life in prison for killing a young woman during a robbery.
The Florida Times-Union (https://goo.gl/imCxm4 ) reports that 25-year-old James Xavier Rhodes pleaded guilty to murder and other charges Thursday as part of a deal with prosecutors. He had had been facing a possible death sentence.
Authorities say Rhodes robbed a Metro PCS store in July 2013. Surveillance video shows Rhodes shooting 20-year-old Shelby Farah execution style after she gave him several hundred dollars.
