ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a man is dead following a Tampa Bay area skydiving accident.
Local media outlets reports that 53-year-old James Rodney Mann died Tuesday night at Lakeland hospital.
The Pasco County Sheriff's Office reports that Mann had been skydiving earlier in Zephyrhills. A preliminary investigation found that Mann and his instructor jumped separately at 13,500 feet. Mann's chute deployed around 4,000 feet, but he rolled over and got entangled. An error then occurred with his reserve chute.
