GIBSONTON, Fla. (AP) - Authorities have arrested a man they say attacked a dog and his owner with a machete in southwest Florida.
Hillsborough County Sheriff's officials said Wednesday the alleged victim was walking his pit bull mix when he got into an argument with Wilson Dorman.
Authorities said Dorman, 57, went home, armed himself with a machete and then attacked both the 22-year-old victim and his dog. The man received non-life threatening wounds to his ear and neck. The dog had a deep laceration on his side and back, but is expected to survive.
Dorman was arrested at his home without incident and charged with aggravated battery and animal cruelty.
