JACKSONVILLE, FL (WTXL) - A new leader has been chosen for the FBI after a special agent in Jacksonville announced her retirement Monday.
Michelle Klimt is retiring after serving 26 years. She was the first female selected to lead the Jacksonville division.
FBI Director James Comey has named Charles Spencer as her replacement, who's last assignment was as a deputy assistant director at the FBI Headquarters in Washington D.C.
Klimt said in a statement that she is proud of her dedicated coworkers and s confident that the team will continue to build partnerships and ensure safe communities.
