WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) - A South Florida man is facing a mandatory life sentence for driving the getaway car in a fatal robbery.
A Palm Beach County jury found Marcus Jerry guilty Wednesday of murder and armed robbery. His sentencing is scheduled for Friday.
Authorities say Travis Jackson and Pasco Reynolds robbed a Delray Beach beauty supply-convenience store in December 2012. The Palm Beach Post reports that the robbery left 68-year-old Alfonso Hunter and 52-year-old Reginald Taylor dead. Jackson and Reynolds are awaiting trial and face possible death sentences.
Defense attorneys argued that another man drove the getaway car and implicated Jerry to keep himself out of trouble.
