SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - A Georgia sheriff has arrested one of his deputies on charges that he sexually assaulted four jail inmates.

Chatham County Sheriff John Wilcher told reporters Friday he won't tolerate any abuse among his staff. The sheriff on Thursday fired Jermaine Minor, a corrections officer since August, and jailed him on felony charges.

The Savannah Morning News reports (http://bit.ly/2nmgDKZ ) an inmate complained about Minor to jail officials Tuesday. An investigation followed that led to the 25-year-old deputy's arrest. Minor was being held at the jail Friday and it was not immediately known if he had an attorney.

Chief Deputy Billy Freeman said investigators have identified four victims, but there could be more.
