BRUNSWICK, Ga. (AP) - A Georgia pastor has been charged with molesting a child at his church in the port city of Brunswick.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says pastor Kenneth Adkins turned himself in Friday morning at the Glynn County jail. Adkins is charged with one count of child molestation and one count of aggravated child molestation.

Stacy Carson, the GBI agent in charge of the investigation, says Adkins is accused of molesting a single victim under the age of 16 at his church, in a vehicle and at the victim's home. She would not give the child's age or gender and declined to give further details about the case.

Adkins' defense attorney, Kevin Gough (GOFF), says the pastor "maintains that he is innocent and looks forward to his day in court."
