MOUNTAINS TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY...
...AREAS OF DENSE FOG ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE AREA THIS MORNING...
.Areas of dense fog have developed from Laurens to Elberton. Dense
fog may move slowly north from there early this morning. A strong
cold front crossing the region this evening will be followed by
strong and gusty winds across much of the North Carolina
mountains.
...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST THIS MORNING...
The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued
a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 10 AM EST this
morning.
* LOCATIONS...Abbeville, Elbert, Greenwood, and Laurens Counties.
* IMPACTS...Limited visibilities will make travel difficult.
* VISIBILITY...One quarter mile or less at times.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use
your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
