...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Georgia...

Oostanaula River near Rome US Hwy. 27 affecting Floyd County

The Flood Warning continues for

The Oostanaula River near Rome US Hwy. 27.

* Until late tonight.

* At 145 PM Wednesday the stage was 25.1 feet...and rising.

* Minor flooding is occurring and forecast.

* Flood stage is 25 feet.

* The river will continue rising to near 25.2 feet by this evening.

The river will fall below flood stage tonight.

* At 25 feet...Flood stage is reached. Minor flooding occurs in the

woodlands and fields along the river upstream and downstream from

the gage on the Turner McCall bridge or U.S. Highway 27. The

Heritage Park Rome Greenway continues to flood with some locations

up to 5 feet deep. All drainage valves must be closed at the

outfalls in Rome. The flood gate on the Rome levee should be

closed.
