LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) - Florida Polytechnic University officials say they're addressing recommendations from the state auditor general.

Local media outlets report that Mark Mroczkowski, the school's vice president and chief financial officer, wrote a letter to Florida Auditor General Sherrill Norman earlier this month saying that the university is working to address some of the issues, including payments for contractual services and posting required textbooks by the legally required deadline.

Florida Polytechnic was formed in 2012. Its programs were previously part of the University of South Florida. The state's 12th public university opened to students in 2014.
