TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida Gov. Rick Scott is sidestepping questions on a Republican health care bill that has set off an intense reaction in Washington.

But Scott is also so far refusing to endorse the measure crafted by top GOP legislators in the U.S. House as a replacement to President Barack Obama's health care law.

Scott previously urged President Donald Trump to move quickly on health care. He would only say Tuesday that he's encouraged that there's a real good conservation going on up in D.C.

Scott also would not answer specific questions on the new study by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office that estimates the GOP plan would increase the ranks of the uninsured by 14 million people next year alone, and 24 million over a decade.
